Lama Hawaiian Ebony Persimmon Augurs Magnum's Man in the Secret Room

Summary: Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees appealed to architects of secret rooms somewhat anticipatory of Magnum PI's The Man in the Secret Room Nov. 8, 2019.

Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees assured ancient Hawaiians of heartwood amenable to secret rooms akin to Magnum PI action drama television series episode The Man in the Secret Room Nov. 8, 2019.
Director Allison Liddi-Brown and writer Joe Gazzam backtrack a balcony-based homicide by Thomas Magnum (Jay Hernandez), private investigator and security consultant, behaving as hotel security head. The series' 27th episode overall considers crime casualty, Georgia Preston (Catherine Dent), investigative journalist pseudonymed Angela Hurst, in Russell Harlan's (Lee Majors) Royal Honua Hotel workplace. Ancient Hawaiian heiau ("temple") developments designated heiau po'o kanaka ("temple for human sacrifices") demanded a sacred, secret, small room for their designated mu's ("executioner") deathly deeds.
Ancient Hawaiians equated heiau establishment with Hawaiian myrtle ('ōhi'a, Metrosideros polymorpha) and pili-grass (Heteropogon contortus) thatching or lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon and ti-leaf (Cordyline minalis) thatching.

Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees, as Ebenaceae (from Latin hebenus, "ebony" and -āceae, "resembling") ebony family members, furnished Hawaiian temples with dark, deep-lustered, hard, polished wood.
Executioners of kapu (from Hawaiian kapuhili, "restrictions") violators and sacrificial victims for war god Kū ("to stand") gathered with priests for pre-sacrificial offerings and purification ceremonies. Twenty-first century Hawaiians, like their ancient counterparts, have lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees because of the one to three seeds in each fruit capsule. Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon seeds germinate into slow-growing seedlings and, ultimately, slow-growing shrubs and small trees.
Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees journey through their perennial life cycles as seeding, fruiting, flowering and leafing trees judged presently as attractive accent, screening, shade and specimen plants.

Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees know yearly seeding, fruiting and flowering periods.
Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees lodge bland to semi-sweet, edible, persimmon-like, red-orange to yellow, small fruits. They manage green-white, pink or white, small, waxy flowers every year. They net coarse, green-white, leathery, thick leaves whose new growth, noted as liko ("to enlarge, to swell out"), navigates such vibrant shades as magenta, orange, pink and red.
Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon occurs most healthily with such native grasses as pili grass that operate as natural obstacles to black twig borers, Chinese rose beetles, scale and weevils.

Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees present mature 6- to 10-foot (1.83- to 3.05-meter) heights and spreads as shrubs and 15- to 30-foot (4.57- to 9.14-meter) heights and spreads as small trees.
Lama Hawaiian ebony persimmon trees never qualify as container plants since such confinement quickens decline and death. They require full sun to partial shade in cinder-, coral- and nutrient-rich soils in even droughty and windy sites on Hawai'i, Kaua'i, Lāna'i, Maui, Moloka'i and O'ahu. They survive in dry or wet forests at 15- to 4,000-foot (4.57- to 1,219.2-meter) altitudes above sea level and in open lava fields on Hawai'i.
Secret rooms on Royal Honua Hotel grounds turn into passionate crime scenes whereas sacred, secret, small rooms on heiau Hawaiian temple complexes turn into punishment rooms for violations against ancient, traditional communities.
