NSFW on Magnum PI Never Applies to Ewa Hinahina Maui Chaff Flowers

Summary: NSFW, season 5 episode 4 on action drama television series Magnum PI, never applies to such endemic phytoremediators as ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers.

Ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers biogeographically and historically abide as endemic (among one's own people, from Greek ἐν δῆμοςm "in people"), Hawaii-exclusive plants in Lanai (from Hawaiian lā, "day; na'i, "conquest" via Lānaʻi), Maui (from Hawaiian Māui), Molokai (from Moloka'i, "gathering of ocean waters" and Oahu (from Hawaiian O'ahu, "gathering place") Counties, Hawaii State. They abound as cultivated and natural, wild accent, hedge and specimen plants; Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, 15:35:06, image of Achyranthes splendens, variant splendens; Native Hawaiian Plant Society (NHPS), Hibiscus brackenridgei exclosure, Waikapu, southwestern Maui: Forest & Kim Starr, CC BY 4.0 International, via Starr Environmental

NSFW, season 5 episode 4 on action drama television series Magnum PI, never applies to such ambient air-, soil-, water-assuring, endemic phytoremediators as ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers of the Hawaiian archipelago.
The 80th episode overall, directed by Eagle Egilsson and written by David Slack, and the fourth Magnum on the NBC 2022-2023 television season bares toxic behavior. Phytoremediating (from Greek φυτόν, “plant” and Latin re medeor, “again to heal”) plants combat toxic contaminants conducive to environmental crises and perhaps toxic conduct and conversation. Endemic (among one’s people, from Greek ἐν δῆμος, “in people”) ‘ewa hinahina (from Hawaiian ‘ewa, “crooked” and hina, “gray-, white-haired”) defends Hawaiian air, soils and waters.
The tracheophyte, angiosperm and eudicot (from Greek τρᾱχεῖᾰ ᾰ̓ρτηρῐ́ᾱ φυτόν, “rough-artery plant”; ἀγγεῖον σπέρμα, “container seed”; εὖ δι- κοτυληδών, “two cup-shaped cavity”) clade member endures extremes.

Cultivated and wild areas of the Hawaiian archipelago respectively acclaim ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers as cuttings and as seeds. Spiked seed capsules accompany box-like, one-seeded fruits accomplished by inconspicuous flowers; Thursday, May 13, 2004, 19:07:48, image of Achyranthes splendens var. splendens seeds, Puu o Kali, East Maui: Forest & Kim Starr, CC BY 4.0 International, via Starr Environmental

Maximum, well-draining 50-inch (127-centimeter) annual rainfall never fells the full sun-favoring Magnoliopsida (for Pierre Magnol [June 8, 1638-May 21, 1715]; from Greek ὄψις, “appearance”) class member.
The Caryophyllales (from Greek καρυόφυλλον via κάρυον φύλλον, “nut leaf”; and Latin -ālis, “pertaining to”) order member germinates from box-like, spiked seed capsules in its fruits. The Amaranthaceae (from Greek ἀμάραντος, “unfading” via Latin amarantus; Latin -āceae, “resembling”) family member has pyxidium (from Greek πυξίς, “boxwood” via Latin pyxis, “little box”) fruits. Achyranthes splendens (from Greek ἄχυρον ᾰ̓́νθος, “chaff flower”; and Latin splendēns, “shining [leaves]”) is green-leaved when overwatered and otherwise gray-green with silver-haired lower and upper surfaces.
Ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers never join NSFW junctures in Magnum PI even as they journey through Hawaiian landscapes as accent, hedge and screening cultivated plants.

Ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers accumulate year-round flowers on 6- to 14-inch- (15.24- to 35.56-centimeter-) long spikes. Their flowers acquire larger appearances closer to spike bases. The 0.5- to 2.5-inch- (1.27- to 6.35-centimeter-) wide leaves add gray-green, silver-haired adornments around the green-white blooms; Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, 11:40:05, image of Achyranthes splendens var. splendens flowers, Hoolawa Farms, Haiku, northeastern Maui: Forest & Kim Starr, CC BY 4.0 International, via Starr Environmental

Their botany kindles in Maui chaff flowers, also known as round, round-leaf and round-leaved chaff flowers, year-round green-white flowering; non-splitting, one-seeded fruits; and seed-spewing spiked capsules.
One- (2.54-centimeter-) to 5-inch- (12.7-centimeter-) long leaves look rounder and smaller in the Achyranthes splendens var rotundāta (“rounded”) variety than the Achyranthes splendens var splendens variety. Only Hawaiian mealybugs (Pseudococcidae, from Greek ψευδής κόκκος, “false grain”; and -ειδής, “-like” via Latin -idæ) mar memorable ewa hinhina Maui chaff flower leaves and spikes. Perhaps less than 5,000 to 10,000, 2- to 10-foot- (0.61- to 3.05-meter-) tall ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers still nestle into the Hawaiian archipelago’s wild niches.
Ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers occur through 1,999-foot (609.29-meter) above-sea-level altitudes, where climate change and human occupancies and occupations, like NSFW on Magnum PI, obstruct them.

Calcareous substrates on coralline plains or dry, open forested, shrubby, thicketed rocky soils; near-0- to 50-inch (127-centimeter) annual average rainfall; and sea level through 1,999-foot (609.29-meter) altitudes agree with wild ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers. Two varieties of ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers, as Achyranthes splendens var splendens and Achyranthes splendens var rotundata (Achyranthes splendens (from Greek ἄχυρον ᾰ̓́νθος, “chaff flower”; Latin splendēns, “shining [leaves]”; and Latin rotundāta, “rounded[-leafed]”) allure admiring audiences. The splendens variety analyzed by Carl von Martius (April 17, 1794-Dec. 13, 1868) and Christian Moquin-Tandon (May 7, 1804-April 15, 1863) biogeographically and historically amends eastern and western Maui and western Oahu. Lanai, Molokai and Oahu biogeographically and historically anchor the rotundata variety analyzed by Wilhem Hillebrand (Nov. 13, 1821-July 13, 1886); Thursday, Jan. 9, 2004, 12:20:01, image of Achyranthes splendens var. splendens habit, Puu o Kali, East Maui: Forest & Kim Starr, CC BY 4.0 International, via Starr Environmental

Rocky-sloped Lanai and Molokai possess no ewa hinahina, taxonomized by Carl von Martius (April 17, 1794-Dec. 13, 1868) and Christian Moquin-Tandon (May 7, 1804-April 15, 1863).
Dry, open forests, shrubs and thickets; calcareous-substrated coralline southwest Oahu plains; old lava-flowed east Maui; rocky gulch-sloped Lanai, Molokai and west Maui traditionally quarter ewa hinahina. Reflecta or rotundata and splendens varieties, respectively ranked by Wilhelm Hillebrand (Nov. 13, 1821-July 13, 1886) and Martius ex Moq, realize coastal, low-elevation, marine, supratidal ranges. Three-, 3-plus-year life cycles secure ewa hinahina Maui chaff flowers 3- to 4-foot (0.91- to 1.22-meter) hedge and 4- to 6-foot (1.22- to 1.83-meter) specimen spacings.
Alien plants, fire and urbanization on Oahu and alien plants, farms, fire, grazers and ranches elsewhere trigger ewa hinahina-truncated territories unsafe as NSFW on Magnum PI.
