A Corsair plane wreck, like a plane crash on Five-0's E Uhi Ana Ka Wa L Hula L Na Mea L Hala Oct. 11, 2019, argues that passing time obscures the past.

Tenth-season third-episode director Brad Turner and writers Matt Wheeler and David Wolkove broach a bomb without casualties, a corpse without suspects and a money-launderer without cash. The series' 221st episode overall continues tenth-season second-episode concerns about a bomb cached inside Hawaii Five-0 Task Force Commander Steve McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) father's CHAMP toolbox. Its three-storyline plot develops around a scuba diver's deliberate death and demoted United States Army Criminal Investigation Command Staff Sergeant Quinn Liu's (Katrina Law) deliberate debunking.

The Hawaii Five-0 action police procedural television series episode establishes a plane crash from the 1980s as crime scene for an executed explorer 40 years later.

The Pacific Ocean waters off southeastern Oahu (from Hawaiian o'ahu, "the gathering place") feature as an advanced diving site an 81-year-old Corsair plane wreck, from 1948.

The seasoned pilot got the gull-winged, propeller-driven World War II fighter aircraft to a smooth, soft water landing with flaps somewhat extended and landing wheels up. The Corsair plane wreck hints of nothing criminal since a sputtering engine and non-buoyant designs headed the mission aircraft respectively to surface waters and then bottomward. The survivalist plot, as the sole soul aboard, impelled himself outside and introduced himself to the rescue team as uninjured and his Corsair plane as undamaged.

Guided scuba diving tours journey from intentionally to unintentionally sunken wreck sites of Hawaiian island coastlines for underwater exercise and science among artificially jump-started coral reefs.

The Corsair plane crash kindled the Corsair plane wreck site at a 115-foot (35.05-meter) depth and a 3-mile (4.83-kilometer) distance from southeastern Oahu's Hawaii Kai Marina.

The Corsair plane landed, despite a strong, swift current, upright with the nose southwestward and with the tail coastward toward the 150.98-foot- (46.02-meter-) high Koko Head. The ocean depths and the powerful, quick current mandate a guide boat that maintains anchor lines 30 feet (9.14 meters) from the Corsair plane wreck site. The 15-minute bottom time between descent from and ascent to guide boats by anchor lines and the four-minute decompression step necessitate guided presences at all times.

The Corsair plane wreck site offers such Congridae (from Latin conger, "conger eel" and -ειδής, "-like") family members as garden eels (Gorgasia hawaiiensis) for photo opportunities.

Orange-headed, orange- and white-barred, white-tailed 23.5-inch- (59.8-centimeter-) long garden eels prey, from standing-up positions in current-prone, sand-sloped colony burrows at 36.09-plus-foot (11-plus-meter) depths, upon passing plankton.

Broad, brown stingrays (Dasyatis lata) in the Myliobatiformes (from Greek μήλο, "millstone" and βατίς, "ray" and Latin -formis, "shaped") order queue up at 49.21-plus-foot (15-plus-meter) depths. They reward underwater photography with disc-like bodies all gray or all brown-yellow or black-brown above and cream-white below; oscillating, undulating pectoral fins; and finned, scaly tails. They share garden eel sustainability in offshore sediments and in sea-bottom sand around the Corsair plane wreck site and survive on bony fishes and bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Passing time turns the historic setting of the Corsair plane wreck into a tourist site and the Hawaii Five-0 plane crash site into a crime scene.
