'Imiloa Sky Charts and Hawaii Five-0's Ho'okani No La O Ka Malihini

Summary: The axiom A stranger only a day alludes to Hawaii Five-0 series episode Ho'okani No La O Ka Malihini May 3, 2019, and to monthly 'Imiloa sky charts.

The adage A stranger only a day applies to the Hawaii Five-0 police procedural television series episode Ho'okani No La O Ka Malihini May 3, 2019, and to monthly 'Imiloa sky charts.
Director Gabriel Beristain and writer Zoe Robyn build Season 9's 23rd episode around an 'ōlelo a'o (advice) about being treated as guests and feeling at home. The series' 216th episode overall considers Mary McGarrett (Taryn Manning) convincing brother Steve (Alex O'Loughlin), Hawaii Five-0 Lieutenant Commander, to check out her conjectured criminal neighbors. It directs the Hawaii Five-0 task force team members to demystify the double homicide of apparent strangers to one another, a ride-share driver and a passenger.
Perhaps Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale) enters a stranger and exits a friend at the wedding event to which he escorts fellow officer Tani Rey (Meaghan Rath).

Fair weather, famous sites, festive food, fitness fun, flattering fashions, foamy waves, fragrant flowers, fresh air and friendly faces feel familiar within 12 to 24 hours.
The Hawaii Department of Transportation's 10 commercial harbors, 15 airports and 1,012.84 miles (1,630 kilometers) of roads get travelers around Hawai'i, Lāna'i, Maui, Moloka'i and O'ahu. Pu'uloa ("Long Hill") petroglyphs hinted of windward-island mapping to William Ellis (Aug. 29, 1794-June 9, 1872), London Missionary Society minister in Hawai'i, Maui and O'ahu, 1823-1824. Reverend Ellis identified central dots within concentric circles or semi-circles as "number in the party who had circumambulated the [Big, Hawai'i] island," respectively partly or wholely.
Journeying around the Northwest Hawaiian Islands and the windward islands by petroglyph circles and semi-circles perhaps jolts a stranger only a day into a stranger forever.

Knowing interisland waves, weather, wildlife and winds; monthly 'Imiloa sky charts from the University of Hawai'i astronomy center; and sun daily transits knead strangers into locals.
Brown noddies (noio kōhā locally, Anous stolidus scientifically) and white terns (manu-o-Kū, Gygis alba) log respective 40- and 120-mile (64.37- and 193.12-kilometer) itineraries from Hawaiian homelands. 'Imiloa sky charts mean a stranger only a day to bumper-tubing, canoeing, fishing, jet-packing, jet-skiing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, para-sailing, sail-boarding, sailing, scuba-diving, snorkeling, surfing, swimming and water-skiing. 'Imiloa sky charts May 2019 note night skies, with eyes hema ("southward"), at 8:00 p.m. Hawaiian-Aleutian Standard Time, HST (6:00 next morning, Coordinated Universal Time, UTC).
'Imiloa sky charts (from Hawaiian for "explorer," "to explore," "to seek far") May 2019 offer Kaiwikuamo'o ("backbone"), navigational starline overhead from the 'ākau (north) horizon southward.

Kaiwikuamo'o pulls together Hōkūpa'a (North Star), Nāhiku (Big Dipper), Hōkūle'a (Arcturus), Hikianalia (Spica), Me'e (Corvus) and Hānalakamalama (Southern Cross).
Ho'olua (northwest), komohana (west) and kona (southwest) horizons quarter Hōkūlei (Capella); Hoku'ula (Mars), Nānāmua (Castor), Nānāhope (Pollux), Puana (Procyon) and 'A'ā (Sirius); and Hoku-noho-aupuni (Milky Way). Hōkūloa (Venus) rises eastward in the hikina horizon, before the sun at 6 a.m. HST (4 p.m. UTC) and southwesterly celestial objects in the kona horizon. The curling shape of Manaiakalani (Māui's Fish Hook) and the planets Ka'awela (Jupiter) and Makulu (Saturn) show up soon afterward, high in the morning, southwestern skies.
Monthly 'Imiloa sky charts tell what treks through night skies over northwestern and windward Hawaiian islands and how to travel to and from there by starlines.
