'Iole Hawaiian Rats Are Not Five-0's Loa'a Pono Ka 'Iole I Ka Punana

Summary: 'Iole Hawaiian rats avoid areas akin to Five-0's Loa'a Pono Ka 'Iole I Ka Punana Jan. 10, 2020, when people are active, aggressive or assembled.

'Iole Hawaiian rats adeptly avoid ambush annihilation attempts around areas akin to those addressed on Hawaii Five-0 police procedural television series episode Loa'a Pono Ka 'Iole I Ka Punana Jan. 10, 2020.
Director Antonio Negret and writers Kendall Sherwood and Chris Wu bring into Season 10 the 'ōlelo ao ("proverb") The rat was caught right in the nest. The season's 13th episode, as the series' 231st overall, concerns a casualty concealed in a private golf course's cryo-chambers and childhood clashes with the class bully. Hawaii Five-0 Task Force Detective Danny Williams (Scott Caan) discerns father and son disagreements that drive a bully to terrorize his nine-year-old son Charlie (Zach Sulzbach).
Effective ends to bullying and killing entail elucidating means, motives and opportunities and ensnaring causal and criminal agents amid their environmental triggers and their endgame trophies.

'Iole Hawaiian rats frustrate facile round-ups and terminations because they favor natural environments, not built structures, when they fulfill feeding, mating, parenting, sheltering and socializing functions.
Physically and sexually mature females, in life cycles of perhaps under one year, gestate one to 10 newborns within 23 non-lactating, 26 to 30 lactating days. They have four sets of nipples and, like physically and sexually mature male 'iole Hawaiian rats, round-pointed noses, short ears, dusky legs and black-bottomed, white-topped hindfeet. Physical and sexual maturity inspires cinnamon-brown, cinnamon-buff or gray bodies; black, stiff guard-haired necks and sides; buff-white or gray undersides; and tail bristles in narrow-ringed iterations.
Physically and sexually mature female and male 'iole Hawaiian rats juggle 8.86 to 9.41-inch (22.5 to 23.9-centimeter) head-body, 4.37 to 4.64-inch (11.1 to 11.8-centimeter) tail lengths.

Mature 'iole Hawaiian rats know 1.22 to 1.26-inch (3.1 to 3.2-centimeter-) long skulls, 0.83 to 0.87-inch (2.1 to 2.2-centimeter-) long mandibles and 0.35-inch (0.9-centimeter-) long ears.
Physically and sexually mature 'iole Hawaiian rats look lean, lithe and little with 1.94-ounce (55-gram) average weights and 0.98 to 1.02-inch (2.5 to 2.6-centimeter-) long hindfeet. Their 214 to 228-foot (65.23 to 69.49-meter) home ranges on dry to well-drained, grassy, ground-covered soils maintain edible berries, seeds, stalks and tinier invertebrates and vertebrates. 'Iole Hawaiian rats, named Rattus exulans (from Latin rattus, "rat" and exulāns, "exiling, wandering") scientifically, nestle into niches 16-plus feet (4.88-plus meters) away from human habitations.
'Iole Hawaiian rats, observed scientifically by John Stokes (Dec. 9, 1875-Sept. 9, 1960) and Witmer Stone (Sept. 22, 1866-May 24, 1939), originate as Polynesian canoe animals.

'Iole Hawaiian rats populated, with dog and hog canoe animals, all Hawaii anciently; Kaua'i and O'ahu in rat-catcher lengeds; and Kaho-olawe and Kaua'i 100 years ago.
'Iole Hawaiian rats quest, for nest-friendly burrows, gulches and rocks, coconut, coffee, macadamia nut, pineapple and sugarcane plantations; embankments; fields; fruit and vegetable croplands; and wastelands. They remain the murid family's resident representative since house mice (Mus musculus) and house and wharf rats (Rattus norvegicus) represent introduced species non-indigenous, non-native to Hawaii. Black (Rattus rattus rattus) and roof and tree (Rattus rattus alexandrinus) rats suggest similarly successful Muridae (from Greek μῦς, "mouse" and -ειδής, "-like") family member introductions.
Legendary rat-catcher Pikoiakaalala turned population-thinning arrows against 'iole Hawaiian rats when they teemed O'ahu's coasts, Kaua'i's fields and Hawai'i's King Keawenui-a-'Umi's (1505?-1575?) royal floors and roofs.
