Chocolate From Cacao Trees on Elementary's Uncanny Valley of the Dolls

Summary: Chocolate bunnies as edible products of cacao trees prove teleportation's viability on Elementary episode Uncanny Valley of the Dolls Aug. 13, 2018.

Chocolate bunnies, with bite marks to their upper ears, attest to actual teleportation and appealing cacao trees in the Elementary procedural drama series episode Uncanny Valley of the Dolls Aug. 13, 2018.
Director Jonny Lee Miller and writers Robert Doherty, Tamara Jason and Kelly Wheeler balance intimate-use technology and object and person teleportation in Season 6's 16th episode. The series' 136th episode overall considers inorganic and organic, object and person teleportation as comparable to conveying distance and on-site documents by facsimile and copy machines. Three-D printing expert Klaus Ziegler (Ben Van Bergen) in Zurich, Switzerland, designates chocolate data for his artisanal chocolatier brother's print head to dispatch to Brooklyn Heights.
Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) elaborates, "An identical bunny to the one that Dr. Ziegler is holding 4,000 miles away. Even down to the bite marks."

Chocolate bunnies fit in with edible products from cacao trees, whose distribution ranges favor tropical climates within 20 degrees latitude north and south of the Equator.
Cacao trees grow from brown-red, flat, oblong seeds, with the nicknames cacao beans and cocoa beans, in filtered sunlight; moist, nutrient-rich, well-drained soils; 70-plus percent humidity. They have almond-shaped, brown-purple, sweet, watery, white pulp around each shelled drupe's five rows of 20 to 75 brown 2.5- by 1.5-inch (6.35- by 3.81-centimeter) seeds. Cacao trees, identified scientifically in 1753 by Carl Linnaeus (May 23, 1707-Jan. 10, 1778), introduce color-changing, seed-filled fruit pods over half of their 100-year life cycles.
Five-plus-foot- (1.52-plus-meter-) tall cacao trees juggle, within five to six months, berry-like, 4- to 13.78-inch- (10.16 to 35-centimeter-) long, hard-shelled, knobby, 10-ribbed, 4.73-inch (12-centimeter) wide fruits.

Four-plus-year-old cacao trees annually know 70 to 150 football-shaped, lengthwise-ridged, oval pods that keep green looks until maturity kindles brown, orange, purple, red or yellow exteriors.
The Malvaceae (from Latin malva, "mallow" and -āceae, "resembling") family evergreen member annually lodges 100,000 clustered white-pink to yellow-white flowers on cacao tree branches and trunks. Three-plus-year-old cacao trees manage five-petaled, five-sepaled, foul-smelling, odorless or fragrant, 0.39-inch- (1-centimeter-) broad and wide flowers and, as four-plus-year-olds, maintain them simultaneously with 14.11-ounce (400-gram) fruits. Five percent of five-lobed flowers on cacao trees, named Theobroma cacao (from Greek θεός, theós, "god" and βρῶμα, brôma, "food; and Nahuatl, cacahuatl, "cacao"), nurture fruits.
Twenty-five percent of every cacao tree's total yearly fruit production offers blemish-free, marketable pods even though seed-digesting, seed-dispersing agoutis and monkeys rarely overlook any mature drupes.

Cacao trees present alternate, drooping, egg-shaped to elliptical, entire, glossy, heart- to round-based, leathery, oblong leaves red when immature and bright to dark green when mature.
Cacao trees queue up 4- to 15.7-inch- (10.16- to 40-centimeter-) long, pointed-tip, 2- to 15.75-inch- (5- to 20-centimeter-) wide, unlobed leaves double-stalked to branches and trunks. Wind-intolerant branches radiate high up on black-brown, rough-, thin-barked 19.68- to 39.37-foot- (6- to 12-meter-) tall cacao trees at 98.42- to 984.25-foot (30- to 300-meter) altitudes. Annual average 39.37- to 118.11-inch (1,000- to 3,000-millimeter) rainfall and temperatures between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius (68 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit) sustain sheltered cacao trees.
Sherlock never tastes the teleported of two chocolate bunnies so perhaps it never tempts him to turn his brownstone rooftop into a hothouse for cacao trees.
