Automobile executives are opening the door to tomorrow's transportation with the Faraday Future FF Zero 1 concept car display at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan. 4, 2016.
CES 2016 brought invitation-only audiences of concept car and electric prototype lovers into the super-powered 21st century with the Faraday Future FF Zero 1 concept car.
Richard Kim, head of design at Faraday Future, and Nick Sampson, product architect at Faraday Future, counted among the international event’s high-profile, high-technology organizers and participants. Marco della Cava, San Francisco Bay Area-based culture and technology writer, described their product crossing a futuristic Batmobile with a real Porsche 919 Hybrid track demon.
Faraday’s Zero 1 emerges belt-high and 1,000-horsepower-strong.
The Faraday Future FF Zero 1 furnishes aerodynamic tunnels to cool batteries and reduce drag and carbon fiber-finished interiors with 45-degree-inclined seating and steering wheel-displayed smartphone. Each wheel’s electric motor gets from zero to 60 miles (96.56 kilometers) within 3 seconds and to top speeds of 200 miles (321 kilometers) per hour.
Faraday has backing from Jia Tueting, Letv chief executive officer and founding owner, for hire-aways from Apple, Audi, Boeing, Jaguar and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The LeUI Auto billionaire is behind billion-dollar ground-breaking north of Las Vegas for 4,500 employees within three years on 3 million square feet (278,709.12 square meters).
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman joined Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval as honored guests.
CES 2016 kept attendees and media within the confines of a purple-lit, white-interiored tent contrasting to the iconic, pyramid-shaped Luxor Hotel and livened by house music.
Attendees listed as a Faraday Future FF Zero 1 drawback unpreparedness for family-friendly production in contrast to Tesla owner Elon Musk’s market-savvy manufacturing of $100,000 sedans.
Defenders mentioned wide-angled perspectives from Richard Kim, BMW’s former co-designer of i3 and i8 electric cars, and Nick Sampson, Tesla’s former Model S chassis engineering supervisor. The lead designer and the product architect noted the practicality of the Faraday Future FF Zero 1 Variable Form whereby one chassis supports diverse body styles.
Faraday Future FF Zero 1 battery-pack systems operate continuously even with one-unit failures.
Members of the 750-strong research team at headquarters in Gardena, California, provided predictions of Faraday design engineering as culminating in the world’s most competitively “connected” car. Autonomous car projects for production with established auto-world partners qualified Google as among Faraday's competitors in electric, high-tech and hybrid car-making: BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Porsche, Tesla. Richard Kim revealed symbolic competitiveness in the “UFO line” denoting “that it’s not really of this world. It will be a feature of all our cars.”
Nick Sampson stated that, like Apple makeovers of business and household telephones, “We are embarking on nothing less than a complete rethink of what mobility means.”
The Faraday Future FF Zero 1 tackles super-powered technologies through Letv-financed design engineering.
