Perhaps The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady Argues About Latte vs Tea

Summary: Perhaps The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady argues about latte vs tea, in the 11th mystery in the Puzzle Lady series authored by Parnell Hall.

Perhaps Sherry Carter Grant administers Constant Comment tea to her aunt, Cora Felton, and to her two Japanese guests. The most acclaimed product of the Bigelow Tea Company of Fairfield, Connecticut, assured worldwide admiration for the ballad Suzanne by Canadian novelist, poet and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen (Sep. 21, 1934-Nov. 7, 2016). The 30-year-old musician and writer and Suzanne Verdal (born 1944), wife of Canadian painter and sculptor Joseph Armand Robert Vaillancourt (born Sep. 3, 1929), availed themselves of orange-rind tea, avowed by the folk and soft rock singer as Constant Comment, from Connecticut, not from China; Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, 14:57, image of 22-storey Leonard Cohen Mural, created by Montréal artist Gene Pendon, American street portrait artist El Mac (Miles MacGregor; born 1980), and Montreal-based MU collective from 2008 photo by Lorca Cohen (born 1974), and inaugurated Nov. 7, 2017, on first-year anniversary of Cohen's death, Crescent Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada: EWilson (Volunteer) [Enloe Wilson Volunteer Editor], CC BY SA 3.0 Unported, via Wikimedia Commons

Perhaps The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady argues about latte vs tea, in the 11th mystery in the 20-book Puzzle Lady series authored by Parnell Hall (Oct. 31, 1934-Dec. 15, 2020).
Number puzzle lady Cora Felton bites, perhaps boisterously, perhaps in a big bunch, veal piccata (from Italian piccata, “pricked”), which she believes to be beloved pork. She compliments chef, housemate and niece Sherry Carter Grant on the choice course, correctly complemented by, and covered with, sauce containing butter, capers, lemons and parsley. She delights in all other dinners such as pork tenderloin, upon which she dines with Sherry and husband Aaron Grant and with toy poodle Buddy Felton.
The Carter/Felton/Grant four-member, one-level, prefabricated ranch house entertains such exquisite enjoyments as enticing rack of lamb embellished with such frying-pan edibles as bread crumbs and spices.

Buddy fills up on unspecified treats even as he finds Aaron, Cora and Sherry furnishing him with whatever they favor for breakfast, lunch, snacks and supper.
No one gets as breakfast goodies the Granville Grains Corn Toasties that Cora gulps down during television advertisements and that guide sponsorship monies into her accounts. Cora perhaps hankers for, perhaps never has chicken, onion, pepperoni and sausage ingredients atop daily specials at the pizza parlor below attorney Becky Baldwin’s law office. She itinerates to such Bakerhaven eateries as Country Kitchen bar and restaurant and as Mary Cushman’s Bake Shop whenever she is in the Carter/Felton red Toyota.
Cora journeys to downtown Bakerhaven for Cushman-brewed caffè latte, not for hot or iced caffeinated or herbal tea in The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady.

Caffè latte (from Arabic قَهْوَة via Italian caffè, “coffee” and Latin lac via Italian latte, “milk”) kindles no alcohol- and over-creamed, over-milked, over-sugared, over-sweetened coffee-knit habits.
Bakerhaven Police Chief Dale Harper still likes what Cora liked, Cushman-brewed coffee with scones labeled as locally fresh but located daily from Manhattan’s Silver Moon Bakery. Cora and Dennis Pride, her ex-nephew-in-law and Sherry’s ex-husband, meet at Country Kitchen bar, respectively for Diet Coke and bourbon perhaps on the rocks, perhaps straight-up. Dennis nurses a first scotch, then a second perhaps on the rocks, perhaps straight-up, even as the 16-year-old niece of the Sudoku Lady nabs him there.
Michiko (from Japanese 美智子, “beautiful, wise child”) perhaps offers herself latte away from, but tea with, her aunt in The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady.

Thelma Wilson, who perceives Michiko and Minami (from Japanese 南, “south”) at the neighboring Preston residence, prefers tea, like them, and, perhaps like them, ramen noodles.
Michiko quests, with her sudoku (from Japanese 数独, “numbers singly”) lady aunt, hot tea at Carter/Felton quarters and prime rib with carrots at Country Kitchen restaurant. She relishes French fries there with Cora, who perhaps always resists the carrot, cherry, radish, tomato salads that render Becky skinny, slender, slim, thin and trim. Cora seeks neither alcohol nor cigarettes around Michiko, who similarizes Minami scorning murder suspect Jason Fielding slurping whiskey and storing frozen peas with rifle-shot deer meat.
Cora treasuring latte and Minami treasuring tea track one perpetrator and trigger upward-trending sales of their books worldwide in The Puzzle Lady vs The Sudoku Lady.

Ramen (from Japanese ラーメン, "pulled noodle") noodles are Japanese cultural appropriations, sometime between the 17th and 19th centuries, of the ancienter Chinese wheat noodles acknowledged as lamian (from traditional Chinese 拉, "to pull, to stretch" and 麵, "noodle). Thelma Wilson arranges for her lunches to abridge analyzing her neighbors across the street and on either side of her Elm Street residence as little as possible. Ramen noodles and tea therefore particularly attract her as appetizing and assemblable; screenshot of I Ate My Way Through's Sep. 22, 2015, YouTube video, "A lesson in making Chinese hand-pulled noodles (lamian)": Deng, Delia, CC BY 3.0 Unported, via Wikimedia Commons
