Police and Security Ministry personnel are continuing their investigations into the Buenos Aires Radio Nacional bomb scare of 7:30 a.m. Argentine local time (10:30 Coordinated Universal Time) March 23, 2016.
The incident became an international concern since Radio Nacional (National Radio) is one mile (1.61 kilometers) from La Casa Rosada (The Pink House), Argentina’s White House. Its occurrence came about six and one-half hours after the landing of Air Force One at Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini (Minister Pistarini International Airport) in Ezeiza Partido (Subdivision). The situation defused before the arrival of 44th U.S. President Barack Obama at the Casa Rosada for a meeting with Mauricio Macri, 53rd President of Argentina.
Patricia Bullrich, Ministra de Seguridad de la Nación Argentina (Security Minister of the Argentine Nation), expressed hopes that the scare was unrelated to the state visit.
Police and Security personnel and witnesses at the state-owned broadcast station furnished few details concerning the alleged perpetrator of the Buenos Aires Radio Nacional bomb scare.
Fox News Latino gave as an eyewitness quote in English an unidentified security guard’s observation that “he opened his coat, showed a detonator, explosives and battery.” Security communiques have the sequence as “The individual … threatened to detonate the bomb and intimidated journalists of Radio Nacional, but he was subdued and arrested.” Fox News Latino indicated that the guard evacuated employees after the alleged intruder entered the building with “fireworks in an explosive belt” and knife in hand.
Reference to official news agency Telam reporting Poné Primera hosts explaining background shouting as “we have a small inconvenience” joined the Fox News Latino event coverage.
Twitter users know of Carlos Alberto Serbali as the name of the alleged perpetrator of the Buenos Aires Radio Nacional bomb scare, due to Argentine tweets.
Javier Díaz, Channel C5N news show host of Mañanas Argentinas (Argentine Mornings), listed Carlos Serbali as the periodista (journalist) threatening to “explotar todo” (blow up everything).
Twitter made available rough recordings of journalist Eduardo Anguita and Carlos Serbali arguing while journalist Romina Manguel interviewed Senator Rodolfo Urtubey of northwest Argentina’s Salta Province.
Eduardo Anguita noted: “Me achacó que fui miembro del ERP, me dijo que era un asesino y yo le pedí que se sacara el cinturón (explosivo).” He offered as motives: “He imputed I was a People’s Revolutionary Army member, called me an assassin, and I asked him to remove the belt (explosive).”
It proved not that difficult to compile information on the alleged perpetrator of the Buenos Aires Radio Nacional bomb scare since Carlos Serbali is on Facebook.
The 65-year-old qualifies as favorites athlete Carlos Tevez, music Calibre rock acústico, Nadie (Nobody), Radio Champaqui and Vicentico and program Periodismo para todos (Journalism for all).
The production company owner/operator’s profile remains unassuming despite being the son of Camilo Serbali (1927–2011), cable television, Channel 3 programming, public relations and short-film pioneer. It likewise suggests nothing of a similar alleged intrusion of La Capital, newspaper in Rosario, at 5:30 p.m. Argentine local time (20:30 UTC) Nov. 29, 2011. But it tells visitors that the film El Copiamento, the Villa Maria weapons plant seizure, may suggest avenging ignored realities, Las realidades ignoradas vuelven por venganza.
