Summary: Mars aligns with six other planets in galaxy-, moon-, planet-, star-lit skies where Makalii Bailer Kekaomakalii abides above Hilo, Hawaii February 2025.
"God talks to human beings through many vectors: through each other, through organized religion, through the great books of those religions, through wise people, through art and music and literature and poetry, but nowhere with such detail and grace and color and joy as through creation. When we destroy a species, when we destroy a special place, we're diminishing our capacity to sense the divine, understand who God is and what our own potential is." Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., April 19, 2023, Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts.
“And there’s many people out there who want us to move to the next planet already and I’m like, hang on, let’s not give up on this planet yet," William, Prince of Wales, July 31, 2023, Sorted Food food truck, London, England, United Kingdom.

Mercury (Hawaiianized Melekulia; Merekuria; Ukalialii, from ukali ali’i, “following [the] chief”) accepts an apparently aligned arrangement above Hilo, Hawaii (from Hawaiian hilo, "thread"; ha wai 'i, "breath life-force supreme") February 2025 with Venus (Hawaiianized Hokuloa accentless, Hōkūloa accented, from hōkū loa, “star distant”), Mars (Hawaiianized Hokuula accentless, Hōkū'ula accented from Hawaiian hōkū ula, "star red"), Jupiter (Hawaiianized Ikaika, from ikaika, "strong"), Saturn (Hawaiianized Makulu, from makulu, “liquid-/water-drop”), Uranus (Hawaiianized Heleekela, Hereekela) and Neptune (Hawaiianized Nepekune). That Sun-area ambiance accounts for the first planet -- at 28,600,000-43,400,000 miles (46,000,000-69,800,000 kilometers) away -- from our Sun, apart Friday the 28th, not always adding its black-grayness visibly to dark skies above Hilo, Hawaii February 2025; "Solar System Walk Decal -- Mercury," artwork release date July 7, 2021, 3:37 p.m., credit Maunakea Astronomy Outreach Committee: CC BY 4.0 International, via NOIRLab |
Mars aligns with six other planets in galaxy-, moon-, planet-, star-lit skies where the Makalii Bailer Kekaomakalii abides above Hilo on “Big Island” Hawaii County and island of Hawaii state February 2025.
Hokuula, as Mars, bears near Kekaomakalii (from Hawaiian hōkū ‘ula, “star red”; ke kā o Makali’i, “the canoe-bailer of [the] Pleiades [from maka li’i, “eyes/stars little”]”). It configures in evening skies there 8:00-10:00 p.m. Hawaii-Aleutian (4:00-6:00 Chamorro, 7:00-9:00 Samoa, 9:00-11:00 Alaska, 10:00-midnight Pacific, 11:00-1:00 Mountain, midnight-2:00 next-day Central, 1:00-3:00 Eastern, 2:00-4:00 Atlantic). It domiciles in center-east skies where the Namahoe Nanamua and Nanahope dwell (“Gemini” from Greek Δίδυμοι via Latin geminī, “twins”; from Hawaiian nā māhoe, “the twins”).
Nanamua (Castor) and Nanahope (Pollux) establish themselves eastward of Hokulei (from Hawaiian nānā mua, “star/look first”; nānā hope, “star/look last”; Auriga Hawaiianized hōkū lei, “star wreath”).
Mars figures southward of Gemini and northward of Hydra and Puana (from Greek mythical serpent ὕδρα via Latin Hydra; Procyon, from Greek πρό κύων, “before dog”).
The constellation Hydra gains the Hikina horizon even as Puana (from Hawaiian hikina, “east”; puana, “blossom”) glimpses Canis Minor, Canis Major, Canopus and the Hema horizon. Mu, as Canis Minor, and Canis Major respectively house bright-starred Procyon and Sirius (Hawaiianized Mū; Latin canis minor/major, “dog lesser/greater”; Hawaiianized puana, “blossom”; Hawaiianized ‘a’ā, “bright-burning”). Kealiiokonaikalewa, as Canopus (from Hawaiian ke ali’i o kona i ka lewa, “the chief of the southern heavens”), is the last star of the Makalii Bailer.
Mars journeys with the six other planets Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune through galaxy-, moon-, planet-, star-lit evening skies above Hilo, Hawaii February 2025.
The constellation Carina’s star Canopus keeps Hema-ward (from Latin carina, “(ship) keel”; Arabic جَنُوب, “south”? via Greek Κάνωπος via Latin Canōpus; Hawaiian hema, “[west-ensconced-sun] left[ward], south”).
Ikaika, as Jupiter, lodges center-westward of Mars, Gemini, Auriga and center-eastward of Makalii (from Hawaiian ikaika, “strong”; from Greek πλέω, “to sail” via Πλειάδες, Latin Pleiades). Jupiter and the Pleiades manifest south of the constellations Perseus and Aries (from Greek πέρθω, “to destroy, plunder, ravage, sack, slay” via Περσεύς; Latin aries, “ram”). Jupiter nestles respectively south-center, south-westerly and south-center of the Hoolua and the Komohana horizons (from Hawaiian ho’olua, “[rain-bearing-strong] north wind”; komo, “west [where sun] enters [sea]").
Mars occurs with the six other planets Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in galaxy-, moon-, planet-, star-lit skies of February 2025 above Hilo, Hawaii.
Venus, Saturn and Neptune (Hawaiianized from hōkū loa, “star distant”; makulu, “liquid-/water-drop”; Nepekune) Saturday the 1st and Mars Sunday the 9th position themselves around our Moon.
Mercury (Hawaiianized Melekulia; Merekuria; Ukalialii, from ukali ali’i, “following [the] chief”) and Saturn, typically 812,500,000-968,900,000 miles (1,308,000,000-1,559,000,000 kilometers) apart, quest a quintessential alignment Monday the 24th. The seven planets Friday the 28th realize an arc-like representation of first Mars and Uranus (Hawaiianized Heleekela, Hereekela) on either side of Jupiter, sky-centered every evening. Venus stays a bit apart, albeit somewhat in straight line horizontally from Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and somewhat in straight line vertically from Mercury, Neptune and Saturn.
Red Mars and the six other planets black-gray Mercury, bright-white Venus and Jupiter, orange-white-yellow Saturn, blue-green Uranus, green-white-blue Neptune travel alignedly above Hilo, Hawaii February 2025.

Uranus (Hawaiianized Heleekela, Hereekela accentless, Hele'ekela, Here'ekela accented) addresses an apparently aligned arrangement above Hilo, Hawaii (from Hawaiian hilo, "thread"; ha wai 'i, "breath life-force supreme") February 2025 with Mercury (Hawaiianized Melekulia; Merekuria; Ukalialii, from ukali ali’i, “following [the] chief”), Venus (Hawaiianized Hokuloa accentless, Hōkūloa accented, from hōkū loa, “star distant”), Mars (Hawaiianized Hokuula accentless, Hōkū'ula accented from Hawaiian hōkū ula, "star red"), Jupiter (Hawaiianized Ikaika, from ikaika, "strong"), Saturn (Hawaiianized Makulu, from makulu, “liquid-/water-drop”) and Neptune (Hawaiianized Nepekune). Its ambiance 1.8 billion miles (2.9 billion kilometers) away from our Sun affirms, apart Friday the 28th, not always adding its green-white-blueness visibly to dark skies above Hilo, Hawaii February 2025; "Solar System Walk Decal -- Uranus," artwork releases date July 7, 2021, 3:37 p.m., credit Maunakea Astronomy Outreach Committee: CC BY 4.0 International, via NOIRLab |
