Six sunny days, as one during new-moon, two during first-quarter, three during last-quarter phases, appear for ‘Imiloa November 2024 Sky Watch moon phases even as each phase anticipates cloudy-rainy-sunny and cloudy-sunny days.

November, Hawaiianized as Nowemapa, begins Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, with the new-moon phase mahina hou (from Hawaiian mahina hou, “moon fresh/new/recent”) and without predecessor-month carryover-phase days. The new-moon phase continues through Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, and thereby contains 7 evenings and nights of moon-gazing contingent upon the precipitation and the sky configurations. University of Hawaii-Hilo, Hawaii County and island, Hawaii state domiciles ‘Imiloa (from Hawaiian ha wai ‘i, “breath life-force supreme”; hilo, “thread”; ‘imi loa, “to search far”).

Hilo days expect mixed cloudy, sunny skies the 1st and Monday the 4th through Thursday the 7th and mixed cloudy, rainy, sunny skies Sunday the 3rd.

Perhaps overcast skies, even forecast rain, frustrate moon-fancying even as perhaps Saturday the 2nd, with its sunny skies, furnishes skies favorable for featuring planet-, star-lit moonlessness.

Mahina hapalua mua (first-quarter, waxing-moon phase, from Hawaiian mahina hapa[-]lua mua, “moon half[-]double first”) garners the seven days from Friday the 8th through Thursday the 14th. The 1st and Monday the 11th, Tuesday the 12th and Thursday the 14th, Sunday the 10th and Wednesday the 13th respectively have sunny, cloudy-sunny, cloudy-rainy-sunny skies. Perhaps overcast skies, albeit mixed with sunniness, impede non-lunar sources illuminating evening and night skies even as two sunny days initiate impediment-free sunset to sunrise skies.

Sunny days join three moon phases during ‘Imiloa November 2024 Sky Watch even as one lunar phase, the full-moon, jubilates just mixed cloudy-rainy-sunny and cloudy-sunny skies.

Mahina o hoku, mahina piha, mahina poepoe (from Hawaiian mahina ‘o hōkū, “moon of star”; mahina piha, “moon full”; mahina poepoe, “moon round”) keepsake fullest moons.

Friday the 15th and Monday the 18th; Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th, Tuesday the 19th through Thursday the 21st respectively log cloudy-rainy-sunny, cloudy-sunny skies. Perhaps cloudy-rainy-sunny, cloudy-sunny skies, not mitigated by any all-out sunny days, mar non-lunar sources making evening and night skies viewer-manageable between Monday sunset and Friday sunrise. Mahina hapalua hope (last-quarter, waning moon, from Hawaiian mahina hapa[-]lua hope, “moon half[-]double last”) nestles into 9 days, from Friday the 22nd through Saturday the 30th.

The last lunar phase obtains for ‘Imiloa November 2024 Sky Watch sunny days for 3 days in the 9-day, 9-night phase occurring as last-quarter, waning moon.

Sunday the 24th, Tuesday the 26th, Thursday the 28th and Saturday the 30th; and Monday the 25th and Wednesday the 27th present respectively cloudy-sunny, cloudy-rainy-sunny skies.

Perhaps cloudy-rainy-sunny and cloudy-sunny skies quit evening and night skies of lunar, non-lunar sources that quicken artificial- and natural-satellite, constellation, galaxy, planet, shooting-star and star questers. Audubon Arctic Wall Calendar 2024 allies with November polar bears, ringed seal predators whom they aliken in abiding among Arctic and Sub-Arctic sea ice as areas that allow meeting, mating and resting.

March, April and May betoken when polar bears (sea bear, Ursus maritimus, "bear sea" literally) most bother ringed seals (bristly seal, Pusa hispida, “seal bristly” literally). Ringed-seal mothers-to-be construct four to six lairs to contain each annually conceived pup the first two months of that newborn’s perhaps 25- to 40-year lifespan. The five- to seven-week lactation period demands that the ringed-seal mother and her pup, birth-weighted at 10 pounds (4.53592 kilograms) domicile in different lairs different nights.
