‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch Airs Four Moon Phases, No Ancient Trio

Summary: ‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch airs four moon phases, no ancient trio archived in ancient, Polynesian-ancestored, traditional Hawaiian voyaging traditions.

"God talks to human beings through many vectors: through each other, through organized religion, through the great books of those religions, through wise people, through art and music and literature and poetry, but nowhere with such detail and grace and color and joy as through creation. When we destroy a species, when we destroy a special place, we're diminishing our capacity to sense the divine, understand who God is and what our own potential is." Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., April 19, 2023, Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts.

“And there’s many people out there who want us to move to the next planet already and I’m like, hang on, let’s not give up on this planet yet," William, Prince of Wales, July 31, 2023, Sorted Food food truck, London, England, United Kingdom.

‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch (from Hawaiian ‘imi loa, “to search far”) airs four moon phases, no ancient trio of three 10-day arrangements that are archived in ancient Hawaiian, Polynesian-ancestored, voyaging traditions.
Sky Watch begins at 8:00 p.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard (4:00 Chamorro, 7:00 Samoa, 10:00 Alaska, 11:00 Pacific, midnight Mountain, 1:00 a.m. Central, 2:00 Eastern, 2:00 Atlantic) Time. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, concludes mahina hapalua hope (from Hawaiian mahina hapa lua hope, “moon half double last”) as September 2024’s last-quarter moon phase’s last day. Wednesday, Oct. 2 through Thursday, Oct. 10 domicile mahina hou (from Hawaiian mahina hou, “moon fresh, new, recent”) as the October 2024 (Hawaiianized ‘Okakopa) new-moon phase.
The new moon’s moonless nights perhaps entail overcast skies from mixed cloudy-sunny days Wednesday the 2nd, Friday the 4th, Monday the 7th and Wednesday the 9th.

Cloudy-rainy-sunny Thursday the 3rd and Tuesday the 8th perhaps favor overcast moonlessness even as sunny-skied Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th perhaps figure clear-skied moonlessness.
Thursday the 10th through Wednesday the 16th guard mahina hapalua mua (from Hawaiian mahina hapa lua mua, “moon half double first”) as October 2024’s first-quarter moon. The first-quarter lunar phase has no cloudless sunny days and perhaps therefore heralds for ‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch, from sunset to sunrise, no cloudless nights. Thursday the 10th, Saturday the 12th through Monday the 14th and Friday the 11th, Tuesday the 15th, Wednesday the 16th invoke respectively cloudy-rainy-sunny and cloudy-sunny days.
‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch judges judicious four moon phases even as it and all ‘Imiloa Sky Watches jubilate no ancient trio of Polynesian-ancestored, three-phase moon-judging.

Thursday the 17th through Wednesday the 23rd know as mahina o hōkū, mahina piha, mahina poepoe (“moon of star”; “moon full”; “moon round”) the full-moon phase.
Thursday the 17th, Friday the 18th and Sunday the 20th lodge mixed cloudy-sunny days whose evenings and nights perhaps lodge full moons albeit without overcast skies. Saturday the 19th and Monday the 21st match cloudy-rainy-sunny days with perhaps overcast nights even as Tuesday the 22nd mixes full-sun day with perhaps clear-sky night. Wednesday the 23rd through Thursday the 31st niche as mahina hapalua hope (from Hawaiian mahina hapa lua hope, “moon half double last”) the last-quarter moon phase.
‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch observes four moon phases even as it and all ‘Imiloa observances offer no ancient trio of Polynesian-ancestored, three 10-day ekolu anahulu.

Wednesday the 23rd, Thursday the 24th, Friday the 25th, Sunday the 27th, Monday the 28th, Thursday the 31st present cloudy-sunny days, perhaps overcast-skies evenings and nights.
Saturday the 26th, Tuesday the 29th and Wednesday the 30th qualify as mixed cloudy-rainy-sunny days whose nights of the last-quarter moon perhaps quarter mixed cloudy-sunny skies. ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hilo, Hawaii (from Hawaiian ‘imi loa, “to search far”; hilo, “thread”; ha wai ‘i, “breath life-force supreme”) remain aloof from ekolu anahulu. Ekolu anahulu shelters anahulu hoonui (“10-day [period] to enlarge”), anahulu poepoe (“10-day full”), anahulu emi (“10-day [period] to diminish”), three-phase sequence of first-quarter, full, last-quarter moons.
‘Imiloa October 2024 Sky Watch tributes four moon phases even as the ancient Polynesian-ancestored trio treats the new-moon phase as new-enlarging, first- and last-quarter-diminishing new moons.
