Puzzle lady Cora Felton behaves the same inside, as away from, her house even as she bears one dress at, and other clothes away from, home. She categorizes as frock, pullover shift or smock her black, cigarette-burned, comfortable, flowing, food-stained, liquor-stained, long, loose, loungeable, ripped, tattered Wicked Witch of the West dress. She dons a heavy, knit sweater during fall and winter months and color-coordinated overalls and work shirt, with a red kerchief, before a People magazine interview.

Cora exchanges pink-and-white flannel nightgowns for T-shirts and underwear once nephew-in-law Aaron Grant and niece Sherry Carter Grant embrace bedtime T-shirts respectively with boxers and underwear.

Ankle-, calf-, knee-high boots; black leather pumps; flat-soled shoes; and high heels figure among footwear fashionable with Cora’s frilly white blouse, tweed jacket and tweed skirt.

Her full-length tweed overcoat goes over everything from her tweed suit to the gi (from Japanese 着, “clothes, dress”) uniform that she gets for court proceedings. Perhaps only Becky, whom cradle Bakerhavenites and New York Yankees ogle at a pool party, and only Cora obtain roles as themselves in Lights! Camera! Puzzles!

Becky possesses a blue Armani sheath that performs as business dress and evening wear and a tailored wool suit even as she panders to off-the-rack prices.

Evening-wearable, off-the-rack, quiet-colored and quiet-styled but stylish and tailored-looking business suits as suit jackets with blouses and skirts or with suit pants qualify as quintessential Becky-wear. Becky perhaps regards her purple pantsuit, in which she realizes many lawyerly responsibilities, more respectfully than she relishes her ivory pantsuit or her white business suit. Who sees Becky, who settles into pageant rehearsals in scoop-neck sweater and vest matching a blue-white skirt, in jeans with sweaters or halter tops with shorts?

Perhaps the real-life Becky and the real-life Cora alone transmit most truthfully the respective intellectual and physical beauty and the tempestuousness that triggered Lights! Camera! Puzzles!

High heels appealed to ancient cultures perhaps as much as they appeal to such style-conscious professionals as Bakerhaven attorney Becky Baldwin.
