Aumakua omaomao Hawaiian moths, as green spirits whose adherents are alert to how anonymity assures their talismanic abundance, actualize Magnum’s Tell No One crime action drama television series episode Jan. 22, 2021.
Director Eagle Egilsson and writer Gene Hong build Season Three's sixth episode, seasons' 46th overall, around kapu (from Hawaiian kapu, "forbidden, sacred") biddings about telling nothing. Traditional Hawaiians continue ancient Hawaiian cultural conventions concerning chiefly and commoner conduct and conversations controlling uncontemplated consequences, such as causing to unconceal someone or something concealed. Discovery dooming Max Martinez (Juan-Pablo Veizaga) in Season Three's premiere episode, Double Jeopardy, Dec. 4, 2020, did not deter private investigator Thomas Magnum (Jay Hernandez) yesternight.
Back in Season One's eighth episode, Die He Said, Nov. 12, 2018, two casualties ensue because of Magnum's disoberying Captain David Evers’ (Alex Fernandez) direct orders.

Contrastingly, the Noctuidae (from Latin noctua, "owl" and -idæ, "resembling") armyworm, cutworm and owlet moth family member favors Kauai (from Hawaiian kaua’i, “favorite place on neck”).
Lepidopteran (from Greek λεπίς, "scale" and πτερόν, "wing") butterfly and moth order members go through egg, caterpillar, chrysalis (from Greek χρυσαλλίς, "gold-colored bubble") and mature stages. Spherical eggs hatch first-instar (from Latin īnstar, "likeness") caterpillars on clermontia (haha’aiakamanu, ‘oha wai locally, Clermontia fauriei scientifically) or false lobelia (koli’i, Trematolobelia kauaiensis) host plants. Brown-green, chunky, roundly short-headed, sparse-haired caterpillars impart disc-like early-instar and cut-edge late-instar feeding patterns on Hawaiian lobelioid (for Martin de Lobel [1538-March 3, 1616]) host plants.
Aumakua omaomao Hawaiian moths (from Hawaiian aumakua, “spirit” and omaomao, “green”) jostle their way out of the four- to five-week chrysalis stage after the fifth-instar stage.

Indigestible, milky, sticky, toxic latex keeps away leaf-feeding insects, apart case-making Hawaiian aquatic (Hyposmocoma), fruitworm (Carposena) and pug (Eupithecia) moths and steel-blue ladybird (Halmus chalybeus) beetles.
The endemic (among one’s people, from Greek ἐν, “in” and δῆμος, “people”) insects, labeled scientifically by Alan Hayes and Klaus Sattler, launches dusk-hour flights until night-time. They manage not to meet sunset- to sunrise-active Hawaiian hoary bats (ʻōpeʻapeʻa, Aeorestes semotus) because their tympanal (eardrum, from Greek τύμπανον, “drum”) organs monitor echolocation frequencies. They net brown, round, short heads; brown, chunky, hairy-looking bodies with brown lower- and under-wings and pink upper-wings; and 1.38- to 1.58-inch (35- to 40-millimeter) wingspans.
Aumakua omaomao Hawaiian moths, through a nodular sclerite (from Greek σκληρός, “hard [cover]”) on their last three thoracic segments, obstruct tympanal occupancies by parasitic mites (Acari).

Caterpillars, chrysalises and autumnal and springtime parents present chemical defenses from lobelioid diets, physical defenses of mimicking twigs and mutualism of pollinating flowers for floral nectars.
Perhaps Campanulaceae (from Latin campānula, “little bell” and -āceae, “resembling”) family plant questors qualify as Kauai (from Hawaiian kaua’i, “favorite place on neck”) and Oahu guardians. Teuila Tuileta (Amy Hill), respected as Kumu (from Hawaiian kumu, “teacher”) and Robin’s Nest curator, regards Hawaiian short-eared owls (pueo, Asio flammeus sandwichensis) as aumakua guardians. In that second-season third episode, Knight Lasts Forever, Oct. 11, 2019, Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks) scraps such superstitions on 21st-century Oahu (from Hawaiian o’ahu, “gathering place”).
Aumakua omaomao Hawaiian moths perhaps transmit information behaviorally, chemically and non-verbally so that, unlike Juliet, Kumu and Magnum telling one another something, they tell nobody nothing.
