No 'Awa Or Kava Shrubs If Those Above Are Descending on Hawaii Five-0

Summary: Those above are descending for aqua-crimes, not for 'awa drinks and kava shrubs, on Hawaii Five-0 2010 episode Ke Iho Mai Nei Ko Luna Jan. 18, 2019.

Those above are descending for an aqua-assassination in Hawaii Five-0 2010 active police procedural series episode Ke Iho Mai Nei Ko Luna Jan. 18, 2019, not for 'awa drinks and kava shrubs.
Season 9's 13th episode director Karen Gaviola and writers Rob Hanning, Sean O'Reilly and Johnny Richardson bring task force members no 'awa drinks or kava shrubs. The season's 206th episode overall closets Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale), Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale) and Tani Rey (Meaghan Rath) in an underwater laboratory crime scene. The ceremonial prophetic directive describes ancestral spirits descending to the clear minds of 'awa ("bitter") drinkers despite compromised gait, numbed lips and tongues and relaxed muscles.
Another 'ōlelo a'o ("advice") explains, "He kanaka ka mea inu 'awa; he pua'a laho ka mea inu kuaipa" (The 'awa drinker, not the alcoholic, remains human).

Kava shrubs furnish textural finishes to indoor courtyards and outdoor hedgerows and de-stressing, relaxing 'awa drinks from filtering ground-up, powdered kavalactone-filled root powder into drinking water.
Kava shrubs, as cash crops in Fiji and Vanuatu and as indoor/outdoor courtyard and landscape woody plants, generally grow from root mass divisions or stem cuttings. They house female flowers, fruits and seeds and male flowers on separate shrubs for dioecious (from Greek δίς, dís, "twice" and οἰκία, oikía, "house") sexual reproduction. A female-flowering kava shrub is rare among kava shrub populations and, when it is not, includes few if any cylindrical green-yellow spikes with cream-white small flowers.
Male-flowering kava shrubs juggle their cylindrical 5-inch- (12.7-centimeter-) long green-yellow spikes of cream-white small blooms inconspicuously amid dark green foliage on sparse branches to erect trunks.

Kava shrubs know no annual autumn and winter deciduous leaf drop since they keep glossy, heart-shaped, 6-inch- (15.24-centimeter-) long leaves on black or green joint-swollen stems.
The two- to four-year-old Piperaceae (from Greek πέπερι, péperi, "pepper" and Latin -āceae, "resembling") family member leafs out 10- to 15-foot- (3.05- to 4.57-meter-) wide canopies. Aerated, loose, macronutrient- and micronutrient-rich, moist, organic matter-rich, porous, semi-shaded, well-drained soils maintain mature 10- to 15-foot- (3.05- to 4.57-meter-) tall broadleaved evergreen perennial kava shrubs. Kava shrubs, named scientifically Piper methysticum (from Greek πέπερι, péperi, "pepper" and μεθυστικός, methustikós, "drunkard"), nurture thick, 23.62-inch- (60-centimeter-) long roots, soft-wooded fresh and hard-wooded dry.
Kava shrubs, outlined scientifically in 1786 by Johann Georg Adam Forster (Nov. 27, 1754-Jan. 10, 1794), offer bark, leaf, root and stem occurrences of bitter kavalactones.

Nothing pinpoints bio-geographical origins other than kava shrubs proliferating, past through present, in Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, Micronesia, New Guinea, Philippines, Polynesia, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu.
Hawaiian kava shrubs, as pathogen- and pest-tolerant canoe plants from Polynesia, queue up away from compacted ground, droughty sites, drying winds, strong sunlight and waterlogged soils. They require annual 78.74-plus-inch (2,000-plus-millimeter) rainfall, relative humidity at 70 to 100 percent and temperatures between 70 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit (21 and 35 degrees Celsius). They survive in indoor/outdoor, porous, 23.62-inch- (60-centimeter-) deep containers and substrates in sheltered, sunlit spaces in United States Department of Agriculture hardiness zones 11 and 12.
Task force members in their right minds never tempt liver-compromised Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Danny Williams (Scott Caan) with liver-toxic 'awa drinks from kava shrubs.
