Elementary's Bird in Blue-Throated Macaw Natural History Illustrations

Summary: Blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations fill the gaps on a dead blue-throated macaw in Elementary episode The Five Orange Pipz Nov. 6, 2014.

Talon marks on the victim's arms never appear in the Columbia Broadcasting System television series episode The Five Orange Pipz Nov. 6, 2014, even though claws adorn blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations.
Director Larry Teng and writers Robert Doherty and Bob Goodman bring blue-throated macaw noise and talons as respective triggers to the bird's and the bird-killer's deaths. A neighbor's clawed body confirms him as complainant to the 11th Precinct about Apartment 3B's noisy blue-throated macaw, as bird-killer and as the bird owner's victim. The third-season episode never demonstrates the north-central Bolivian native's high-pitched, nasal alarm call and quiet caw or displays the black-billed blue- and yellow-featured, pink-skinned bird's talons.
Blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations elucidate one-dimensionally critically endangered examples, from about 500 wild and 1,000 to 1,100 captive birds, that elude 50th Elementary episode enthusiasts.

Sexually mature females five years and older fit a second one- to three-egg clutch into the year's breeding season if the first clutch or nestlings fail.
Monogamous parents get different nesting sites every other year because they go without mating the year after the breeding season gives them sustainable clutches and nestlings. They have a 26-day incubation for eggs that hatch into 0.64-ounce (18-gram) nestlings that fledge as 13- to 14-week-olds but stay at home the first year. They inhabit nesting sites in grub-hollowed cavities in dead urucuri palm trees (Attalea phalerata) whose immature fruit's liquid and mature and nearly ripe fruits they ingest.
Blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations sometimes juggle botanical illustrations of macaw (Acrocomia aculeata), moriche (Mauritia flexuosa) and urucuri palm tree fruits as judicious drinks and foods.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature keeps blue-throated macaws in critically endangered status from habitat-altering, habitat-decreasing, habitat-fragmenting agro-industrialists and overlapping blue-and-yellow, green-winged and scarlet macaws.
Blue-throated macaws live in rotten hollows, knot-holes and limbs in dead palm trees in forest islands within wetlands at 984.25-foot (300-meter) maximum elevations above sea level. They move through forest corridors and islands, grasslands and marshes along waterways on the Gran Chaco ("Great Hunting-Land") northwest and south of Trinidad, Beni Department capital. Blue-throated macaws, also named Wagler's macaw for Johann Georg Wagler (March 28, 1800-Aug. 23, 1832), netted national patrimony protection Oct. 17, 2014, through Law number 584.
Blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations and scientific descriptions in 1921 by Roberto Dabbene (Jan. 17, 1864-Oct. 20, 1938) offer observations of dead wild, not captive-bred, specimens.

Ara glaucogularis ("macaw gray-blue-green-throated") adults possess 2.95-foot (0.9-meter) wingspans and 26.46- to 33.51-ounce (750- to 950-gram) female and 31.75- to 38.8-ounce (900- to 1,100-gram) male weights.
Adults queue up 33.46-inch (85-centimeter) total head-vent lengths with upper-parts turquoise, underparts bright yellow, vent pale blue, bills black, crowns dull blue and rumps bright blue. Adult faces reveal blue lower cheeks and throats, yellow stripes near crowns and bill bases with five to six blue-feathered, individualized horizontal stripes and pink skin. Irises show blue on hatchlings, brown on nestlings, gray as 1- to 2-year-olds, white as 2- to 3-year-olds, gold-yellow as 10-year-olds and gray with old age.
Blue-throated macaw natural history illustrations transmit the alarm calls that trouble Apartment 3B's neighbor in Elementary's The Five Orange Pipz when they take an audio-visual tack.
