A Bad Book and a Good Dress Size Await Cora in The Purloined Puzzle

Summary: A bad book by ex-husband Melvin and a good dress size after no alcohol, binges or cigarettes await Cora in The Purloined Puzzle, 19th Puzzle Lady mystery.

Cora, as one always 10 to 20 pounds overweight, acknowledges in many Puzzle Lady mysteries most appreciating what she archives as her comfortable, loose-fitting Wicked Witch of the West dress; publicity photo of American actress Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West in the 1939 MGM feature film The Wizard of Oz: Public Domain, via Wikimedia Commons

A bad book by ex-husband Melvin and a good dress size await alcohol-, binge-, cigarette-free Cora in The Purloined Puzzle, 19th Puzzle Lady mystery by Parnell Hall (Oct. 31, 1934-Dec. 15, 2020).
Perhaps Cora boasting Melvin-bashing Confessions of a Killer’s Wife balances Melvin broadcasting Cora-bashing Confessions of a Trophy Husband, alternatively booked as Confessions of a Murder Suspect. Can Melvin Crabtree characterize correctly Johnny Dawson, soldier concluding three Afghanistan tours to care for 10-, 10-plus-years younger 16-year-old sister Peggy after their parents’ car crash? Does he describe Judy Douglas Knauer of Knauer Realty delegating house-showing duties since last year to Johnny, who drives an undescribed car with license plates 64392?
What encourages Peggy to experience free-based cocaine with construction crewmen Jason Tripp and Fred Winkler, who respectively expire on a mall parking space and Main Street?

Bakerhaven Police Chief Dale Harper and an unidentified clerk at Bakerhaven mall’s Stop & Shop respectively find Fred at 5:30 a.m. and Jason at 3:00 a.m.
Who gored and grounded hunting knives into Fred and Jason, one knife gotten by Melvin from Bakerhaven mall, the other by Johnny from under his pillow? Who heads Dale, whose daughter Clara, between Johnny’s and Peggy’s ages, already has graduated from a Massachusetts college, toward a two-time knife-wielding perpetrator younger than Melvin? Who impels him to initiate Police Officers Sam Brogan investigating the pickup truck that Johnny intends for Peggy’s Bakerhaven itineraries and Dan Finley interrogating the latter?
An arrest warrant for conspiring to conceal crime, fabricating evidence and obstructing justice and police investigations jeopardizes a bad book more than a good dress size.

What kindles medical examiner Dr. Barney Nathan and the crime lab, but for Manny, not keeping Dale knowledgeable about death times and murder weapon-conserved blood types?
Judge Hobbs lists bail bond at $50,000 for murder suspect Melvin, always late paying Cora alimony, and at $10,000 for crime-concealing, evidence-fabricating, investigation- and justice-impeding Cora. Puzzle-column and puzzle-book monies and a major publishing company’s $800,000 advance for 75,000-word-long nonfiction respectively make Cora’s bail bond and Melvin’s bond and bail bond manageable. Melvin nestles into Bakerhaven niches as a newcomer netting new sales for Knauer Realty and noticing Cora at Mary Cushman’s Bake Shop and with Harvey Beerbaum.
Perhaps Melvin organizes into his bad book observing attorney Becky Baldwin outfitted in a good dress size over which Cora obsesses, and the county prosecutor’s wife.

First Selectman Iris Cooper perceives Melvin, whom perhaps nobody patrols pursuing Mrs. Firth while Henry peregrinates to a legal convention in Cleveland, perturbing Cora into jaywalking.
Melvin successfully quests exclusive interviews with Aaron Grant as Bakerhaven Gazette reporter and as Cora’s nephew-in-law and with Rick Reed as Bakerhaven Television Channel 8 newsman. Rick realizes an exclusive interview with Melvin’s literary agent, Jacob Wasserman, outside Bakerhaven Police Station and perhaps renders Confessions of a Trophy Husband a Bakerhaven bestseller. Felton confessions, apart regarding niece Sherry Carter Grant signing the bail bond and grand-niece Jennifer sharing ice cream with toy poodle Buddy, perhaps similarize Crabtree confessions.
Cora talking about fitting non-fattily into a good dress size and Jennifer play-dating Ricky Stebbins perhaps thwarts the bad book about which The Purloined Puzzle talks.

Cora perhaps aspires to admitting into her wardrobe of daytime and evening wear, all in a good dress size acknowledging her achieving a total weight loss of 20, 20-plus pounds, an evening mini-dress by Paco Rabanne (born Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo, Feb. 18, 1934): Nadia Priestly (Nadia308), CC BY SA 2.0 Generic, via Wikimedia Commons

Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts five of the opera's January performances, including the Jan. 15 Saturday matinee opera broadcast, and five of the April performances, including the April 9 Saturday matinee opera broadcast. Met Opera's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director had made his Met Opera debut Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, alongside Sir Richard Eyre.
Yannick Nézet-Séguin shares the winter conductorship with Gareth Morrell, who conducted the Thursday, Jan. 20, performance. The British conductor had made his Met Opera debut Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in the opera company's 516th performance of Lucia di Lammermoor by Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti (Nov. 29, 1797-April 8, 1848).
Ryan McKinny sings January's title role. The American lyric bass-baritone had made his Met Opera debut Friday, May 4, 2012, as Mr. Ratcliffe in the opera house's 45th performance of Billy Budd by English composer, conductor and pianist by Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten (Nov. 22, 1913-Dec. 4, 1976).
Lucy Crowe sings January's Susanna, whose wedding to Figaro finally takes place. The English lyric soprano had made her Met Opera debut Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, as Servilia in the opera company's 40th performance of Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito.
Golda Schultz sings January's Countess Almaviva, who helps remove obstacles to her maid Susanna's wedding. The South African soprano had made her Met Opera debut Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, as Pamina in the opera house’s 433rd performance of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
Le Nozze di Figaro numbers as the first of two Saturday matinee opera broadcasts in the 2021-2022 season for Golda Schultz. She also sings Anne Trulove in the June 11, 2022, Saturday matinee opera broadcast of The Rake's Progress by Russian-born composer, conductor and pianist Igor Stravinsky (June 17, 1882-April 6, 1971).
Christian Gerhaher sings January's Count Almaviva, who learns to appreciate his wife. The German baritone's appearance in the fourth revival's first performance, Saturday, Jan. 8, marked his Met Opera debut.
Anna Stéphany sings January's trouser role of Cherubino, Count Almaviva's page, who is in love with Countess Almaviva. The Anglo-French mezzo-soprano's appearance in the fourth revival's first performance, Saturday, Jan. 8, marked her Met Opera debut.
Elizabeth Bishop appears in all of January's and April's performances in her first reprisal of Marcellina, who learns that Figaro is her son. She had added Marcellina to her Met Opera portfolio in the 2019-2020 season's third revival. The American mezzo-soprano had made her Met Opera debut Monday, Feb. 7, 1994, as the Venetian in the opera house’s 10th performance of Britten's Death in Venice.
Maurizio Muraro appears in all of January's and April's performances as meddlesome Dr. Bartolo. The Italian operatic bass-baritone reprises the role in which he had made his Met Opera debut Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, in the opera company’s 419th performance of Le Nozze di Figaro.
Giuseppe Filianoti appears in all of January's and April's performances as the Music Teacher, Don Basilio, who distresses Count Almaviva with the revelation that Cherubino, the Count's page, is in love with the Count's wife. The Italian lyric tenor had made his Met Opera debut Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, as Edgardo in the opera house's 549th performance of Lucia di Lammermoor by 19th-century Italian bel canto opera composer Gaetano Donizetti (Nov. 29, 1797-April 8, 1848).
The 2021-2022 season's first performance, Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, numbered as Met Opera's 509th performance of Le Nozze di Figaro. The Metropolitan Opera premiere of Mozart's Figaro opera took place Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1894. Le Nozze di Figaro received seven performances in the 1893-1894 season.
The takeaways for Le Nozze di Figaro as the Met's Jan. 15, 2022, Saturday matinee broadcast are that Mozart's Figaro opera schedules as the sixth Saturday matinee opera broadcast in the 2021-2022 season; that the opera's 12 performances are distributed equally, at six each, between January and April casts; that third Met Opera Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin's conductorship of five each in January and April includes both month's Saturday matinee opera broadcast; that the season's performances of Le Nozze di Figaro mark the fourth revival of the 2014-2015 season's new production by Sir Richard Eyre; and that Le Nozze di Figaro's April Saturday matinee broadcast numbers as the first of two Saturday matinee opera broadcasts in the 2021-2022 season for Golda Schultz.

The 2021-2022 season's two casts of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro each receive Saturday matinee opera broadcasts (Jan. 15, April 9), under the conductorship of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who thereby adds his first Mozart opera to his Met Opera portfolio; with three operas (Don Carlo, La Traviata, Otello), Verdi dominantes the maestro's Met Opera portfolio of 17 operas (2009-2010 through 2021-2022): MET Orchestra Musicians @METOrchestra, via Facebook Dec. 5, 2018

Dream Lover on Magnum PI Airs Wehewehe Moe Uhano Dream Interpretation

Summary: Dream Lover, season 4 episode 10 Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, on action drama television series Magnum PI, airs wehewehe moe uhano Hawaiian dream interpretation.

Wehewehe moe uhano (from Hawaiian wehe moe ‘uhane, “to solve sleep spirit”) Hawaiian dream interpretation abjures nobody, nothing in ancient and traditional Hawaiian dream culture. For example, the meal as moe uhano (from Hawaiian moe 'uhano, "sleep spirit") abridges such life events as adviser aumakua (from Hawaiian ‘au mākua, “era ancestor”) ancestor gods, best mates, extended family and life expectancy. Perhaps bananas, coconut milk, guava and oranges acclaim ancestor gods in their animal, plant or mineral accommodations. Perhaps the dark figure outside and the table knife inside account for one, two, three future deaths or injuries. And yet the calabash gourd accounts for a living man, perhaps one boy acting as future survivor of a future knife attack by the perhaps dark, future assailant outside. Obscure, troublesome appearances and atmospheres, such as of the anonymous outsider and the worried children, activate wehewehe moe uhano Hawaiian dream interpretation by traditional Hawaiian dream-culture experts, interpreters and priests; "Le repas, dit aussi Les bananes The Meal, also called Bananas," 1891 oil on paper glued on canvas by Paul Gauguin, Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France: Public Domain, via Wikimedia Commons

Dream Lover, season 4 episode 10 Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, on action drama television series Magnum PI, airs wehewehe moe uhano Hawaiian dream interpretation by the dreamer’s private-investigations partner and her therapist.
Episode 66 overall, by director Avi Youabian and writer David Wolkove, bundles Private Detectives Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks) and Thomas Magnum (Jay Hernandez) into dream worlds. NBC television season 2022-2023’s 10th Magnum episode conduces Robin’s Nest security head into its majordomo’s (steward, from Latin māior domūs, “main household’s”) dream, not vice versa. Juliet discloses in the declining moments of the episode that this romantic dream about her next-door, same-site neighbor and private-investigations partner did not debut that day.
It embarrasses Juliet that Thomas never experiences any equivalent dreams even as her sleep-talking during a stakeout snooze enables his enlightening himself about the dream encounter.

Traditional Hawaiian dreams, like ancient Hawaiian dreams, actualize both the audio and the visual. Sounds such as olelo (from Hawaiian ʻōlelo, "spoken word") actuate dream meanings and symbols; "Les Parau Parau Conversation," 1891 oil on canvas by Paul Gauguin, Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg, Russia: Public Domain, via Wikimedia Commons

Juliet follows proper procedure in finding in her therapist a modern Hawaiian kahuna (expert, from Hawaiian kahu ana, “a cooking” and ka hūnā, “the hidden one”).
Guarding wehewehe moe uhane (from Hawaiian wehe moe ‘uhane, “to solve sleep spirit”) gets traditional Hawaiian experts, interpreters and priests their dreamers, semi-dreamers, semi-sleepers and sleepers. Traditional Hawaiians, like ancient Hawaiians, first handle their dreams on their own or through shared-experience databases that they harvest from, and hone with, family and friends. Traditional Hawaiians dreaming, semi-dreaming, semi-sleeping or sleeping about dream lovers invite individually inspecting and introspecting dream iterations and their hoailona (from Hawaiian hō’ailona, “sign, signal, symbol”).
Perhaps Dr. Linda Ogawa (Tijuana Ricks) judges more judiciously wehewehe moe uhane dream interpretation than ohana (from Hawaiian ‘ohana, “family) joking about dream journeys' romantic jousts.

Brooding atmospheres and unclothed appearances add to wehewehe moe uhano Hawaiian dream interpretation. Obscure appearances such as the anonymous outsider, troubled atmospheres such as the worried woman and worrisome undress address present and subsequent events. For example, unclothed lower limbs perhaps address death of or injury to an in-law; "Tahitian: Te Faaturuma The Brooding Woman," 1891 oil on canvas by Paul Gauguin, Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, central Worcester County, central Massachusetts: Public Domain, via Wikimedia Commons

Traditional Hawaiians, like ancient Hawaiians, keep within their bodies their immortal, individual, personal, soulful spirit, who knows how to kineticize out and back through spirit pits.
Traditional dreamers, semi-dreamers, semi-sleepers and sleepers learn what adventures, ancestor gods, persons, places, spirits and things that their spirits locate once outside the eye’s inner corner. Aumakua (from Hawaiian ‘au mākua, “era ancestor”) ancestor gods and immortal, personal, soulful spirits manage dreams more meaningfully than dreaming, semi-dreaming, semi-sleeping sleepers’ family and friends. La Mariana and Robin’s Nest ohana membership nets navigating dreams, nightmares, previous-thought dreams, prophecies, revelations, spirit relationships, spontaneous dreams, stormy sleep and visions for one another.
Personal and professional obfuscations, obligations and overwork oppose wehewehe moe uhano dream interpretations from La Mariana and Robin’s Nest ohana in Dream Lover on Magnum PI.

Polynesian-ancestored wehewehe moe uhano Hawaiian dream interpretation admits dreaming, semi-dreaming, semi-sleeping, sleeping by and for the traditional Hawaiian dreamer, semi-dreamer, semi-sleeper, sleeper. Dreaming, semi-dreaming, semi-sleeping, sleeping for one another adopts the dream form hoike na ka po (revelatory dream, from Hawaiian hō'ike na ka pō, "to show in the night"). Perhaps the romantic dream in Dream Lover on Magnum PI advises Juliet and Thomas, with the former affecting a prophetic, revelatory dream by herself and for the latter; "Paul Gauguin: When Will You Marry? Paul Gauguin (1848-1903)[.] Reo tahiti: Nafea Faa Ipoipo? (Nāfea fa’aipoipo)[.] Français : Quand te maries-tu? English: When Will You Marry? Deutsch: Wann heiratest du? Português: Quando te casarás?": Public Domain, via Wikimedia Common

Perhaps proper procedure never prevailed in persuading Juliet to ponder the pessimistic and the positive portents that presented themselves in what packages itself as personal happiness-promoting.
The Higgins dream quarters pessimistic portents in qualifying as a water-world quest in a smaller, yacht-style boat in the marine environment that quickens people-unfriendly, violent weather. The moemoeā fantasy dreams reveal such an unsettling outcome in their wishfulness, which renders itself as moe hooko (from Hawaiian moe ho’okō, “dream-fulfilling wish”) if realized. The sexy dream that stresses Juliet Higgins suggests stormy sleep over the fact that Thomas sees someone else, Honolulu Police Department Detective Lia Kaleo (Chantal Thuy).
Dream Lover on Magnum PI therefore either transmits moe uhane Hawaiian dreams as spirit sleep if they threaten no happiness in Higgins-Kaleo-Magnum personal and professional triangles.
