Hawaii Five-0 Episode Ahuwale Ka Nane Hina: Uku Hawaiian Gray Snappers

Summary: Fish and chips in Hawaii Five-0 episode Ahuwale Ka Nane Hina: The Answer to the Riddle Is Seen April 20, 2018, are uku Hawaiian gray snappers in Hawaii.

uku, Hawaiian gray snapper (Aprion virescens), under synonym Chaetopterus microchir; drawn on stone by German draughtsman Ludwig Speigler (1824-1893), under direction of Dutch ichthyologist Pieter Bleeker (July 10, 1819-Jan. 24, 1878); P. Fish and chips on Hawaii Five-0 series episode Ahuwale Ka Nane Hina: The Answer to the Riddle Is Seen April 20, 2018, perhaps are uku Hawaiian gray snappers and 'ulu Hawaiian breadfruit.
Director Eagle Egilsson and writers Matt Wheeler and David Wolkove build the eighth season's 21st episode around an 'ōlelo a'o (advice) about bringing secrets to light. The series' 189th episode overall coordinates crime-solving by Hawaii Five-0 Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride) and Officers Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale) and Tani Rey (Meaghan Rath). A Betamax done by the Avalon motel's voyeuristic handyman Arthur Dubbins  details the death of young orphan Lara Levy during a Thursday dalliance with a strangler.
MI6 agent Harry Langford (Cyrus Vance) enlists Hawaii Five-0 Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Detective Danny Williams (Scott Caan) to extract a kidnapped aristocrat.

Lady Sophie's (Alana Boden) whereabouts on S.S. Martha forces Danno temporally back to Hawaii Five-0's first favor, For Queen and Country Sept. 30, 2016, for Harry.
Danno generalizes about going to England for a medal-giving ceremony with Queen Elizabeth II, "we had fish and chips for lunch. I liked it a lot." Daniel Horner at The Jailhouse Pub & Grill of Lihue, Kaua'i, hails uku Hawaiian gray snappers as "the best you can get for fish and chips." The Hawaii Seafood website indicates that "Some chefs and fishers say that the uku is one of the most overlooked and underappreciated of the Hawaii bottomfish."
Lutjanidae (from Malay ikan lutjan and Greek -ειδής, -eidés, "-like") snapper family female members jumble eggs into water columns during spawning months between May and November.

Uku Hawaiian gray snappers, known scientifically as Aprion virescens (from Greek ἀ-, a-, "without" and πρίων, príōn, "saw"; and Latin virēscēns, "verdant") keep 25-plus-day larval stages.
The first 25 days lead hatched uku Hawaiian gray snappers, labeled blue-green snappers, gray jobfish or green jobfish commonly and ukupalu in Hawaiian, into deep waters. Uku Hawaiian gray snappers maintain cehalopod, crab, fish, plankton and shrimp diets; sexual maturity as 16- to 18-inch- (40.64- to 45.72-centimeter-) long four-year-olds; and solitary lifespans. They net 16.53- to 44.09-inch- (42- to 112-centimeter-) long, 4- to 18-pound (1.81- to 8.16-plus-kilogram) bodies with blue-black spotted blue-green upper-sides, gray-white undersides and deep-forked tails.
Uku Hawaiian gray snappers, outlined by Achilles Valenciennes (Aug. 9, 1794-April 13, 1865), observe bony, heavy heads; horizontally grooved eye fronts; golden irises; and canine-like teeth.

The Perciformes (from Greek πέρκη, "fish" and Latin "shaped") order member possesses 10 dorsal and three anal spines and 11 dorsal and eight anal soft rays.
The Actinopterygii (from Greek ἀκτίς, aktí, "ray" and πτέρῠξ, ptérux, "fins") ray-finned class member qualifies as popular snappers with onaga Etelis coruscans) and opakapaka (Pristipomoides filamentosus). Uku Hawaiian gray snappers require channel, lagoon, open-watered, reef temperatures between 75.02 and 84.2 degrees Fahrenheit (23.9 and 29 degrees Celsius) through maximum 590.55-foot (180-meter) depths. They survive year-round without catch limits between Indo-Pacific Ocean longitudes 35 degrees North and 31 degrees South and latitudes 33 degrees East and 134 degrees West.
It just takes a trip to a fish auction to turn up uku Hawaiian gray snappers any time that Danno thinks nostalgically about fish and chips.
