They consider Greenland sharks as communicating considerable lengths and weights even as the afore-concerned Somniosidae ("drowsy-/sleepy-appearing/-pertaining," Latin somniōsus -idæ) sleeper-shark family members convey 20-foot, 2,200-pound maximums. Such dimensions, as 6-meter lengths and 1,000-kilogram weights metrically, describe Greenland sharks at physical and sexual maturity even as their dark, deep domiciles daunt daily descriptions.
