Northern Europe's Danish kingdom accepts as currency standards both its Danish krone ("crown") and the Greenlandic koruuni ("crown"). The 19th and the 20th centuries admitted Greenlandic metal and paper money. Aluminum-bronze, copper-nickel and tin-bronze agree with such coins as the 1926-issued 50-øre coins above.

Paggaa ("scuffle/tussle"; Kalaallisut/West-Greenlandic paggattut) coins blend with handmade gifts in the Greenlandic acclaim and applause for, appreciation of the first actions and activities of Greenlandic children. They celebrate first tooth, the first steps, the first fish catch, the first game hunt, the first school day, the baptism rite, the confirmation rite, etcetera. The coins displayed in the right-lower corner of the authorial Postscript's first page perhaps draw upon the Danish krone ("crown"; Danish dansk krone; Kalaallisut/West-Greenlandic danskit koruuni).

The afore-exampled coins perhaps ensue from the Greenlandic krone ("crown"; Danish grønlandsk krone; Kalaallisut/West-Greenlandic koruuni) even as that krone existed during the Danish, Greenlandic colonial epoch.

All Greenlandic krone featured the same value as the Danish krone even as the former currency figured as currency fashioned in mainland Denmark for in-Greenland use.

The years 1874-1968 guarded the Greenlandic krone in the Greenlandic economy even as companies and countries other than Danish and Denmark, Greenlandic and Greenland guided alternatives. Late-19th-century mining companies had their currencies even as Captain Holm's (Mon., Aug. 6, 1849-Wed., Mar 13, 1940) Ammassalik ("capelin-area/-place"; Kalaallisut/West-Greenlandic ammassat -lik) colony heralded island-housed money. Handelsstederne i Grønland ("The Trading Posts in Greenland") put into Greenland circulation 50-øre, 1-krone banknotes in 1874; 25-øre banknotes in 1875; and 5-kroner banknotes in 1887.

Handelsstederne banknotes queued until 1905 even as Kongelige Grønlandske Handel ("The Royal Greenland Trading Department") queued 1911-issued 25-, 50-øre, 1-, 5-kroner, 1953-1967 5-, 10-, 50-kroner denominations. Greenland-colonial (1950-Sun., Jul 1, 1979) banknotes, as Styrelse af Kolonierne i Grønland ("The Board of the Colonies in Greenland"), respected 1913-released 25-, 50-øre, 1-, 5-kroner denominations. The Greenland-colonial banknotes showed the mark Grønland Styrelse ("Greenland Administration") as of year-1926 even as below-5 kroner and 10- and 50-kroner banknotes respectively stopped and started.

The Danish realm allow such component areas as the North-American island Greenland their own coin and paper money. The Danish krone ("crown") therefore anticipates the Greenlandic koruuni ("crown") in coin and paper arrangements. Greenlandic krone first appeared in 1874 in the 50-øre ("golden"; Latin aureus) note above.
