Overkilling as bycatch, as nontarget nuisance-species or target useful-species fish afflicts Greenland sharks of glacial waters in the Arctic Ocean, temperate waters in the North Atlantic, in Shark by Dr Miranda Macquitty.

The juvenile book for ages 9 through 12, grades 4 through 7 bares overkilling by killing bycatch and nontarget fishes branded nuisances and overfishing target fishes. Overkilling concerns shark species whose capture considers their practicality and profitability in such commerce as cosmetics and creams and shark species whose catching criticizes their conduct.
